Tennessee’s Dan Spencer has found his place deftly blending thoughtful lyricism with country-tinged rock n’ roll to form his own brand of gothic southern mope that is as reflective as it is uncompromising.

Flaunting an impressive discography since 2022, including three albums, two EPs and multiple singles, Spencer feels most at home on 2024’s standout, Return to Your Dark Master. On Return, Spencer settled into his brand of southern punk rock, which caught the attention of rapper-turned-country-superstar, Post Malone. Malone liked Spencer so much that he took him out in support of his debut country record in 2024. As a result, Spencer knows how to play to sold out arenas as well as busy barrooms.

Having shared the stage with acts ranging from Alabama country-rock outfit, Muscadine Bloodline, to black metal’s hardest working auteur, Panopticon, Dan Spencer seems to be able to comfortably fit in anywhere he finds himself.
