Diving Offering: Celebrating the Legacy of Alice Turiyasangitananda with Sita Michelle Coltrane

The John & Alice Coltrane Home is bringing new life to the house where the Coltranes created some of their most transformative and groundbreaking work. As restoration moves forward, the Home is being reimagined as an immersive space for music, workshops, and community that carry their legacy into the present moment. 

Sita Michelle Coltrane is a vocalist, composer, and Artistic Director of the John & Alice Coltrane Home in Dix Hills, New York. Born in Paris, France, her immersion in music began at an early age with violin, viola, and clarinet lessons as well as singing devotional music at the Ashram founded by her mother Alice Coltrane Turiyasangitananda. Michelle began traveling the world in her mid-20s, living in Japan while performing, composing, and DJing.  
 
She continues as a radio host, a touring and recording musician, and a presenter of educational oral history programs furthering the legacy of her family.
