Ryan Hemsworth

Over the last 15 years, Canadian producer Ryan Hemsworth has established himself as a versatile figure in music, working outside the boundaries of genre. Collaboration has been a key part of Hemsworth’s career – from Alex G to Mitski to Joji – while developing his unique sound as a producer.

His debut album Guilt Trips received the Juno award in 2014 for Electronic Album of the Year. From there he toured with Flume, R&B phenom Tinashe, and performed at events like Coachella, Pitchfork Music Festival, Boiler Room, and multiple Asia tours. Hemsworth’s skills have been honed by traveling from studio to studio across the world, connecting with artists, established or not. Outside of production work, Hemsworth started his own label in 2015 called Secret Songs which helped develop artists like No Rome, Tennyson and Kero Kero Bonito.

In 2020 a partnership initiated between Secret Songs and Warp Records which got his latest project Bodysync off the ground. The dance duo Bodysync consists of Hemsworth and electronic producer Giraffage, who now have two albums to their name with support from international radio stations like BBC, Radio Nova and Triple J. The strong support from Pitchfork, BBC and fans across the world proves Hemsworth always keeps things interesting—with an ability to be constantly ahead of the curve, both
in his production and discovering talent.
