Sweet Boy

Sweet Boy has emerged as one of the most compelling new voices in the slowcore and indie rock underground, building a devoted audience through emotionally raw songwriting, hazy lo-fi production, and a distinctly melancholic aesthetic. His music — centered around heartbreak, nostalgia, anxiety, and isolation — has resonated deeply across social media, pulling in hugely impressive numbers for such a new artist: nearly 700k monthly listeners on Spotify, 450k TikTok creates and 3.2m likes on there.

His breakout success came in 2023 when “i still think about you” reached the Top 40 of the Billboard TikTok Top 50, introducing a global audience to his intimate, slow-burning sound. The song later appeared on the self-titled Sweet Boy EP in January 2024, a six-track project that established him as a rising figure in the online slowcore scene.

Since then, Sweet Boy has continued to expand his sound with projects like Lucky and the machinist, further developing his blend of indie rock and atmospheric slowcore. In 2026, he released his debut full-length album car chaser, his most ambitious and fully realised project to date, showcasing a darker, more cinematic evolution of his songwriting and production. He’s since made his live debut in Australia, selling out his debut show in March in Melbourne, before touring nationally with Quadeca and opening for Them & I.
