Chain & the Gang and Escape-ism Have Joined The Ground Control Touring Roster

We’re thrilled to welcome the current projects of longtime punk veteran and trailblazer Ian Svenonius: Chain & the Gang and Escape-ism.

Svenonius (the Nation of Ulysses, the Make-Up) has been creating subversive and endlessly exciting art in the form of music, television, and literature for nearly three decades and is showing no signs of slowing down. Chain & the Gang’s 2017 full length release, Experimental Music, powers through with an earnest energy supported by the band’s raw, stripped down sound, complementing Svenonius’ captivating vocal performances and biting lyrics. Meanwhile, the minimalist drum machines and fuzzed out guitar of Intro to Escape-ism, also released the same year, further acts a testimony to Svenonius and his creative versatility.

In addition to live performances with Chain & the Gang and Escape-ism, Svenonius also does speaking engagements at various arts and educational institutions.
