Chicago Mayor Declares Official Whitney Day

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has proclaimed August 30th to be Whitney Day in Chicago to celebrate the release of the band’s sophomore album, Forever Turned Around, out today on Secretly Canadian. Throughout August 30th, fans will have a chance to celebrate with the band around the city, including tuning into a morning performance on WXRT, lunch at Parson’s Chicken and Fish, an in-store performance and signing at Shuga Records, capped off with an indoor and outdoor block party at Bungalow by Middle Brow. Additionally, the band’s interview on legendary Chicago-based talk show/podcast, Sound Opinions, will air that evening.
