Ground Control Touring welcomes Special Interest!

New Orleans’ Special Interest recently dropped their sophomore LP, The Passion Of, that combines elements of glam rock and no wave pushed through a mangled filter of contemporary electronic forms. Special Interest present a precise and deranged vision of punk, an apocalyptic celebration, a step forward into a perverse and uncertain landscape.

The Passion Of Is, “vicious and physical, blistering at the edges of Maria Elena’s serrated guitars, Nathan Cassiani’s bass playing, and Ruth Mascelli’s blown-out synths and cavernous drum-machine beats—The Passion Of is made of sparks.” Jenn Pelly for Pitchfork.
