LA Grunge Band Momma Signs with Ground Control Touring

Ground Control Touring is excited to announce the signing of LA grunge band, Momma! Self-taught guitarists who grew up outside of Los Angeles, Etta Friedman and Allegra Weingarten met by fate in high school and eventually began writing songs together. The pair’s close friendship provided an open channel to create and experiment from a place of trust and joint experience. Inspired by songwriters like Kim Deal, Liz Phair, and Elliott Smith, the two developed a knack for dynamic song structure and gripping lyrics fused by a dulcet pop sensibility.

Despite their young age (Etta and Allegra are 21 and 22, respectively) they’ve already made an impact on the LA music scene with their first two releases: 2016’s “thanks come again” and 2018’s “Interloper”, which saw the band gain recognition beyond the borders of LA county. In February 2020, they announced the release of their third full-length, “Two of Me”, due out in June 2020.
