New York Duo, Uniform Has Joined Our Roster of Touring Artists

Uniform, the crushing duo of Ben Greenberg (Hubble, The Men, Pygymy Shrews) and Michael Berdan (York Factory Complaint, Drunkdriver, Believer/Law), has joined our artist roster.

The two longtime friends realized they had settled near each other between tours and began creating immediate, powerful songs combining Greenberg’s guitar and Berdan’s howl while drawing on post-punk, synthpunk, and industrial traditions.

Uniform devised a unique template under which they write as Greenberg describes, “There’s this set bunch of gear to create sounds, and it only creates sound through a certain process, or within its own limitations. The goal of songwriting is to see how many different kinds of sounds you can get from the same basic process and machine.”

Berdan’s aggressive delivery is paired with lyrics he describes as, “So full of pain, confusion, deep selfishness, and general animosity that you make some horrible mistakes and have to learn how to forgive yourself for them.”
