Sir Richard Bishop and Rangda Join Our Artist Roster

Richard Bishop has created and performed under the solo moniker Sir Richard since the 1998 release of his debut solo record, Salvador Kali. After the dissolve of Bishop’s primary project, ethni-improvisational greats, Sun City Girls, Sir Richard has been on a constant journey metaphysically through his compositions and physically through extensive touring.

Since his debut solo release, Sir Richard has released albums on a variety of labels: Improvika, Elektronika Demonika, and While My Guitar Violently Bleeds (Locust Music), Fingering the Devil (Southern Records, UK), Hypostasis: A Work in Three Parts (VDSQ), Intermezzo (Editions Mego), The Unrock Tapes and Road to Siam (Unrock), Polytheistic Fragments and The Freak of Araby (Drag City), and more.

In addition to Bishop’s solo work, Ground Control Touring also begins booking Rangda, the collaborative effort between Bishop, Ben Chasny of Six Organs Of Admittance and the diverse drummer Chris Corsano. The group is currently working on a record slated for a 2016 release.
