Prolific indie singer/songwriter, Damien Jurado, has joined our artist roster.
Damien Jurado has been called “the godfather of the Seattle folk-boom”, but the name doesn’t do his eclectic artistic style justice. Ever since the start of his collaboration with producer Richard Swift (on the recording of Saint Bartlett in 2010) Jurado has shown how diverse and brilliant he is as a writer and performer. His songs blend influences of psychedelic rock, folk, jazz, blues and even latin groves while still remaining extremely cohesive and authentic.
Jurado can boast an impressive career (starting at SubPop records in 1997) and a string of masterful albums, but he seemed to have never been more in top shape as a writer as he has been over the last 7 years. His recent trilogy of albums produced with Richard Swift, Maraqopa/Brothers And Sisters Of The Eternal Son/Visions Of Us On The Land (Secretly Canadian), contains his best work to date.
Stay tuned to Damien’s artist page for all news and upcoming tour dates!
